Tropical Battery acquires US entity
Tropical battery USA, the newly formed subsidiary of Tropical Battery Company Limited, has made its first acquisition. the company has acquired a manufacturer of specialty batteries in the United States but the name of the company is being withheld pending for the paperwork tropical batteries deputy managing director Daniel Melville told the Jamaica observer.

Kaya acquisition powers Tropical revenues
Tropical Battery Company Limited have credited the acquisition of Dominican Republic-based Kaya Energy Group for contributing to increased growth in revenues in third quarter (Q3) 2023, despite indicating the need to be monitored and make adjustments to the operation so as to ensure the overall success of the group.
Tropical Battery's revenues for the April to June quarter rose by 18 per cent to $782.84, up from $661.84 million in the corresponding period in 2022. At the same time, gross profit increased by 10 per cent for the three months, closing at $228.66 million.
Tropical Battery incorporates US subsidiary
Tropical Battery Company Limited (Tropical) has incorporated a new US-based subsidiary, Tropical Battery USA, LLC, to help with pushing the company's growth plans in the North American market.
The newly formed subsidiary, the company said, was established to serve as a key platform which will grant it access to online marketplaces such as e-commerce giant Amazon, with which it now has a fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) account.

Energy storage company Tropical Battery is looking to boost income through further diversification into solar.
The segment is not entirely new, but it’s the reason behind the recent acquisition of a 50 per cent stake in KAYA, a solar solutions company operating in the Dominican Republic, in a cash-and-shares deal. KAYA Energy Group is a Santo Domingo-based engineering procurement and construction company that has been providing renewable energy solutions to residential, commercial and industrial customers since 2010.
